Maxi-Matic EWM-6122 Elite Gourmet Double Buffet Server and Warmer Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have both this server and their triple server. I have owned the triple for 5 years with no problems. I just bought the double before Christmas from Costoo and it worked out great when I needed a little extra space for warm stuff but didn't have enough to put in a Crock Pot. Can't go wrong for the prices they're being sold for either. You can use the warmer with or without the trays. It works great as a flat warmer, I do put down aluminum foil so there's not so much to clean up.

KitchenAid 8-Quart Cast-Iron Oval Casserole, Garnet Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've never been disappointed with KitchenAid products and this dutch oven is no exception. The color matched our kitchen perfectly. It has a contemporary look to it, unlike some of the other outdated models. The porcelain finish is good and tough. The lid has little nubs under it to promote self-basting. Highly recommended!

Health Smart Open Faced Indoor/ Outdoor Grill Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a great grill for those who like to grill steaks but cannot use a gas/charcoal outdoor grill for whatever reason. The last apartment I lived would not allow ANY grilling outdoors (which is really sick as I live in South Florida and it is currently the only US region that is not freezing this Jan 2, 2009 with the exception of Hawaii). I was skeptical at first but this grill does great work on those thick sirloin steaks we buy at Costco. I had mine for probably 7-8 years 1-2 times a week before it recently just quit heating up. The non-stick surface had worn away some time ago but who cares it still cooked great steaks. That's pretty much all I used it for other than toasting garlic bread.
I didn't even realize you could use it outdoors until I starting searching online for it this week.
It is not the same as a gas or charcoal grill. I have a charcoal grill at my building where I live now but by the time you lug the charcoal, fluid, utensils, etc down the elevator to the community grill, light the coals and then WAIT for them to get red hot, we still use this little grill more often. You don't have to have all the planets aligned to use this one on a weeknight (weather, charcoal, fluid, and TIME!).
I don't know why people complain about it being slow I always used the highest setting and could sear and grill 1-2 inch thick steaks to medium well in 20 minutes. I have never owned a gas grill so I can't compare, but it's a whole lot easier, convenient & faster than charcoal grilling that's for sure. You can't get the taste of over the fire grilling of course, but they sure are tasty in their own right when I shake granulated garlic and freshly grind black pepper on the steaks before grilling.

Paderno 1.5 Quart Stainless Steel Double Boiler Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is the perfect pot for making delicate sauces, melting chocolate, or making puddings and creams. You fill the chamber with water until the glass vile shows that it is full. You then place the pot on the stove (gas or electric) and the contents heat very gently. Just this past weekend, my friend and I made chocolate bark for about 50 people and huge amounts of chocolate melted in what seemed like a few minutes and we never had to worry about burning the chocolate or getting water into it. I recommend this pot to anyone who cooks or bakes regularly.

Staub Oval Cocotte Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have hoped to find a true competitor to Le Creuset for years, one that was more affordable and of the same quality. Staub fills the bill, and fills it with style. This cocotte is large enough to accomodate a good-sized chicken, and is perfect for slow-cooked stews and braises. The interior coating is easy to clean and effectively non-stick. While its weight may be a deterrent for some, it is so attractive that it can be left on the stovetop or on a counter for easy access. It is my best purchase of the year and I look forward to using it for years to come.

HB Mealmaker Grill Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)If you live alone as I do and don't cook big meals this is perfect - the timed cooking grills to perfection. With a little added rub, it tastes right off the grill. Very easy to clean - I grilled a steak (5 min for rare) presprayed the grids w/nonstick spray popped them in the dishwasher and they came out sparkling. No mess - no grease all over like a certain George we know and small enough to be left out all the time. Highly recommend.
